Get The Most Out of Your Pilates Class

Here's some simple yet effective tips on how to get the most out of your Pilates classes:

Consistency - We're all aware that this is key to feeling the results of our Pilates practice. The best way to achieve this is to book your classes in advance. This way you've your 'Pilates time' scheduled into your week and will be less likely to fall off track!

Diversity - If you're practicing more than once a week (Joseph Pilates recommended 3 times a week!) take advantage of the different classes we have on offer, Matwork and Equipment, so that your body can find it's best muscular balance.

Ability - If you've had a break consider returning to a lower level class to build your strength and awareness back up before leaping back to where you left off. On the other hand, if you've been consistently attending the same level class for a long time and have got a bit comfortable is it maybe time to move up to the next level?

Presence - Yes, being there is half the battle, but being 'present' in class will give you such better results than just merely turning up! Tune into your body and tune out of your daily lives when you're in the studio and you'll leave with a clear head and lots of energy!

"When I first started at Pilates Centre I was constantly aware of my back pain due to a disc injury. Within no time of taking a couple of classes a week I started to forget that I had a back problem at all! It's just great."
